Post graduate studies
Hello, this is a difficult topic for me because I
do not usually think much about my future but I’ll try.
After i graduated as an Archeologist i like to
study out of Chile id like to study in Latinoamerica because i think the anthropological
problems of latinoamerica must be studied from a latinoamerican perspective,
but i don't know where the best place to do it is.
I like to grow my knowledge of archeology so i like
to study about that but with a critical perspective. I know in Argentina
there are archaeologist with that perspective in particular people who studied
"centros de Detencion y tortura" in Argentina, so I’d like to learn
about that to do it in the several of "centros" and i think studied
and keep the memory about the crimes of the dictatorship is important for the
present.
if i study something in Chile I’d like to take a
course whit Victoria Castro, a important chilean archaeologist who
practice the ethno archeologist , a way to do archeology thinking in the people
who care the excavation, i mean, if i go to do an excavation and there is community
close, work whit them ,learn and listen the knowledge of they for do a better
study from the past and give back the knowledge from the past to the community.
I think that is a good way to do archaeology without the extractivism that has
historically characterized the archeology
I love Victoria Castro's work... hope you achieve your goals :)
