Nicolas Andrade Biodata
Nicolas
Andres Andrade Bastias is a Chilean archeologist with a master in historical
archeologist, he actually works in the Valparaiso’s natural history museum in a
team in charge of “Viña del mar, from
the beach of the elite to an industrial city in the 20 century” a temporally exhibition
at the museum.
Mr. Andrade is interested in the territory who
birth: Valparaiso’s Region, and he has worked principally in that territory
that actually is declared in drought so lately he is interested on conservation
of the environment so actually is working in archeological project in “Los
Pinos Natural Park” giving value of the past of the human occupation in the
park by the archeological rest, to close the community to the protection of the
park. He was worked with several
communities that care for the environment in the V Region of Valparaiso, help
them from is knowledge of Anthropology and Archaeology.
Mr. Andrade
gets fame 2 years ago because he make a project to return the Moai that it was located
next to Fonk Museum to Rapanui. For this, he works in an interdisciplinary team
for 4 years against the Viña del Mar Municipality who don’t want to return the
Moai to the island.
